Gabhru Panjab De are one of the leading traditional Bhangra dance companies in the UK. Their performances feature up to 12 costumed dancers accompanied by musicians playing traditional instruments and singers. Acrobatic, energetic and colourful, Gabhru is truly a crowd stopping show. Their performance works well in a street setting, as part of a procession or on a main stage as part of a larger programme.

The cultural emblem of Panjabi folklore, Bhangra is an unstoppable force. The vigour, vitality, speed and synchronisation with which it is performed make Bhangra a spectacle to watch. Underpinned by the full on Dhol drumming of north India, with folk songs on top, no other dance can come anywhere near Bhangra in sheer force and tempo. It is a dance of stamina and the Gabhrus always take special pride in performing it.

Gabhru's dancers also lead Bhangra dance workshops at all skills and to participants of all ages.
