The Rajasthan Heritage Brass Band really pushed the boundaries with two days of outstanding sci-fi performances at BlueDot Festival at Jodrell Bank in the shadow of the iconic Lovell Telescope.
They played their version of the Dr Who theme during the BBC Radiophonic Workshop's tribute to Delia Derbyshire and led David Prowse (Darth Vader himself!) onto the Orbital stage with their rendition of The Imperial March from Star Wars. Enthusiastic festival goers were treated to their Bollywood flavoured mix of intergalactic funk, from Thunderbirds to Blakes 7, from both the main stage and pop-up shows around the spectacular site.
